Activating 2FA with Google Authenticator

Activating 2FA with Google Authenticator

We use the TOTP protocol. Any applications that work with this protocol are suitable for setting up 2FA: Yandex.Key, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.

Google Authenticator app generates one-time cods that are used additionally when logging in to your Personal Cabinet and withdrawing funds. The app is available for any phone and works even if your phone is offline.

To enable 2FA with Google Authenticator proceed as follows click In your Personal Cabinet:
Settings → Security→ Account Security → Google Authenticator

Activation of 2FA starts with selecting your phone’s OS and installing the app on your device:

After selecting the OS you will see a link to the app download address and instructions for configuring it:

  1. Click + in Google Authenticator app.
  2. Click “Scan bar code”.
  3. Scan the bar code (QR code displayed below the instructions) using your phone’s camera.
  4. Enter the 6-digit generated code from Google Authenticator and click “Enable”.

In case you are unable to scan the barcode, click "Unable to scan barcode?" below the instructions and enter the "key" manually. Simply enter the 6-digit generated code from Google Authenticator and click "Enable".

As a result, you will have 2FA connected using Google Authenticator to log in and withdraw funds.

What should I do if the codes don't come to the app?

Sometimes the codes may not come if the time on your device is not synchronized with the global time and lags behind or ahead of it. Please log into the Google Authenticator app, go to "Settings" — "Time correction for codes" —"Sync now". After that, time synchronization will occur.

The 2FA connection is a prerequisite for using the platform.
