Spot trading is the buying and selling of assets. Once a trade is completed, the purchased asset is added to your trading account.
For example, when you buy BTC with USDT, USDT is deducted from your balance, and the BTC you buy is added to your spot account. You can then keep your BTC or sell it using an available trading pair.
How Spot Trading Works
Trading is done through trading pairs. Each pair shows which asset you buy or sell and which asset you use to pay for it
For example, in the BTC/USDT pair:
BTC is the asset being bought or sold.
USDT is the asset in which the price of BTC is quoted and the trade is settled.
To open a position you need to place an order: a request to buy or sell an asset. Depending on the selected
order type, the position may be executed immediately at the available market price or once specified conditions are met.
Once the order is executed, the spot account balance is updated automatically: the sold asset is deducted, and the purchased asset is credited.
