A key difference in Margin trading is that the panel displays information about your account status and funds:

Balance
Equity
Margin
Free Margin
Margin Level
Balance
Balance is the total funds in your account, excluding the current profit or loss on open positions. The balance changes when you deposit or withdraw funds, or close positions.

Balance = Previous balance + Deposits − Withdrawals + Realized P/L

Info
Example:
Your account balance is 1000 USD. After closing a position with a profit of 100 USD your balance will be 1100 USD.

Equity
Equity is the current value of the funds in your account, including unrealized profits or losses on open positions.

Equity = Balance + Unrealized Profit/Loss on Open Positions

Info
Example:

Balance: 1,100 USD. The current unrealized loss on an open position is 50 USD.
Equity = 1,100 − 50 = 1,050 USD.

If the market price changes and the unrealized loss increases or decreases, your equity will change accordingly.

Margin
Margin is the amount of funds required to secure open positions. It depends on the position size and leverage.

Margin = Position Value / Leverage

Info
Example:

An open position is worth 1,000 USD with 1:10 leverage.
Margin = 1,000 / 10 = 100 USD.

These 100 USD are held as collateral for the open position.

Free Margin
Free Margin is the portion of your funds that is not being used to secure open positions.

Free Margin = Equity - Margin

Info
Example:

Equity: 1,050 USD. Margin: 100 USD.
Free Margin = 1,050 − 100 = 950 USD.

Margin Level
Margin Level shows the ratio of equity to used margin, expressed as a percentage.

Margin Level = (Equity / Margin) × 100%

Info
Example:

Equity: 1,050 USD. Margin: 100 USD.
Margin Level = (1,050 / 100) × 100% = 1,050%.

The higher the margin level, the more funds you have available to support your open positions.
